Jenn's Experience

  • Jenn Guimond - Program Manager

In 1987 when Jenn entered into the legacy market she had no
idea of the life long relationship she was forging with cannabis.

Losing her daughter Zoë to cancer in 2006, when medical cannabis was just emerging into mainstream media, inspired her to dedicate years of her life to intensive learning on medical cannabis and its relationship with chronic and terminal illnesses. The major lesson she
learned during this time was discovering the supportive and therapeutic effects cannabis can provide if used correctly.

In 2009 she began an organization that provided free cannabis for chronically and terminally ill community members. Within a few years demand grew and it became impossible for her to keep up with requests.

In 2015 she began offering educational services for free to any low income or uninsured medical user who needed help. She created a network of growers, suppliers and found ways for physically limited and budget restricted folks to grow their own medicine.

In 2018 she began operating a test bakery based on her clients most requested items. Infused, diet restricted foods. Thunder Hill was her way of testing uninfused products on a larger market. She specialized in gluten free, sugar free and dairy free among other dietary restricted baking. The success of this bakery was unexpected and kept her very busy until she chose to close up shop at the beginning of the pandemic.

Jenn attended the World Cannabis Conference in 2019 as a delegate. There she met an amazing network of industry professionals. During this conference she determined that formalizing her education and expanding her understanding of this plant would be critical to her success.

She began several small growing groups on various social media platforms. In these groups she provides science-based cannabis education for free to her members, these groups have forced her to stay current on the cannabis industry and expand on her legacy market education.

In October 2021 she stopped her legacy market work to return to school and help her transition from the legacy market to the legitimate market. In January 2022 she completed a Cannabis Management and Production course through Dalhousie University with a 97% average.

Her goal is to continue to share her knowledge and experience, empowering new growers and demystifying the growing process while finding solutions for more self-sufficient grow habits. She has extensive experience with teaching neurodiverse and folks who struggle with traditional educational methods.

Jenn lives in New Brunswick with her husband Chris and son Jaxon. She enjoys living a self-sufficient lifestyle, working in her vegetable garden and managing music festivals in the summer.
