Tim's Experience

Tim Morcom P.Ag

Tim is a certified agrologist with many years of experience in both a horticultural and agronomic setting. He has spent four years managing and running vegetable and small fruit farms where he designed and oversaw the construction of novel infrastructure projects such as high-density apple trellises, hop stands, and irrigation management solutions. In addition to his horticultural work, Tim spent several years implementing field research projects for federal, provincial, and NGO funding bodies. He has worked extensively with cereals and oilseeds and continues to enjoy working with, and growing, these crops alongside his current horticultural focus. Tim’s field research inspired him to start a part-time MSc in sustainable crop production methods with a focus on promoting soil health. He is planning to defend his degree in the fall of 2022 and has found it incredibly rewarding to develop production methods that can increase soil organic matter (SOM), microbial activity, and significantly improve crop health and yields.
